PaRaLLaXe history starts in 2000 when the four musicians Béa AMANI (bass), Nicolas BARZACCHINI (drums), Alex ANDRINI (Guitars) and Matthieu HUCK (keyboards) meet each other . They soon begin rehearsals and some pieces like Y2K or In extremis were born. After Nicolas's departure in March 2001, the band welcomes Bruno FELLONNEAU (ex Styll) on the drums.
From then PaRaLLaXe begin their process of creation and dedicate themselves to the elaboration of a six-track demo. The four musicians share the same vision of music, and naturally direct their compositions to an instrumental and progressive style.
The first scenes take place at the same time as it does in various places in Bordeaux : Arema, Forum Music, L’Estran. In October 2003 and for the first time, the band played on a parisian stage, L’Alternat sharing their performance with the groups Conscience, Innerchaos and The theOutburst.
From that time, PaRaLLaXe has alternated composition and performance. The audience always gives them a lot of support. In Mai 2004, they were invited at the Eclipse festival and played with Anathema as guests. In 2005, while they were recording their first album, they were performing at Barbey in Bordeaux (first part of Epica)
The first album recording ends in early 2006. It has an explicit concept : the link between Music and Image. The album title is Soundtrack and it contains 4 pieces which call up film music or video games music. The opus are more developped and are still instrumental. Some pieces use a symphonic orchestra.
