Frank Rijkaard was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Sep. 30, 1962. Known as a celebrated midfielder and a former manager of the Dutch national football team, he received warm welcome from many world-class football clubs, such as Ajax, Real Zaragoza and Milan. For outstanding performances at many international matches, he was widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of his generation.
He accomplished his first appearance in a senior team on Aug. 23, 1980. He became a professional footballer of Ajax by unique competitive advantages – speed, positioning, strategic intelligence and consistency. Before transferred to A.C. Milan, Frank Rijkaard served for Ajax for seven and a half season, winning countless accolades and honors for his team. Then he played for A.C. Milan for five season prior to go back to Ajax. In 1981, he made his first appearance at a major international match. Frank Rijkaard started his managerial career in 1998. He is also the most welcomed professional footballer of Netherlands national football team.
